Montu has announced the appointment of Myles Lawlor as Chief Executive Officer for Australia, effective 1 January 2026.

Since joining Montu in 2023, Lawlor has played a key role in harnessing technology and innovation to improve patient outcomes and strengthening operational and clinical governance across the organisation.

More recently, he has also led clinic operations at Alternaleaf, Montu’s national telehealth service, supporting clinicians to deliver safe, accessible and consistent care to patients nationwide. In recognition of his exceptional contributions, his remit will be expanded to include all of Montu’s Australian operations.

In his new role, he will report to Montu Group Chairman and Founder, Christopher Strauch, who established the Company in 2019.

“Myles has an exceptional ability to translate complex technology into meaningful clinical outcomes,” Mr Strauch said.

“He combines a deep understanding of healthcare systems with the rigour and precision of a technology leader – qualities that are essential as Montu continues to evolve as a patient-centred health-tech company.

“Expanding Montu’s capacity to deliver evidence-based care through innovation, governance and clinical excellence will remain our highest priorities.”

Lawlor brings more than two decades of executive experience across health, technology and consumer sectors, having held leadership roles with IBM, Fujitsu, Deloitte, BHP and YouFoodz. He has led multidisciplinary teams across Australia and international markets, with a focus on tech-driven innovation, operational excellence and sustainable growth.

“It is a privilege to lead Montu Australia,” Mr Lawlor said.

“My focus will be on maintaining trust, stability and the highest clinical standards, ensuring patients continue to receive quality care wherever they live.

“Montu’s reputation for innovation is one of its greatest strengths, and I’m committed to building on that foundation for the benefit of both patients and clinicians.”

The appointment reinforces Montu’s position as a trusted partner in healthcare: one that integrates technology, clinical governance and patient care to improve health outcomes for Australians.
