Medical cannabis explained
Medical cannabis (or medical marijuana as it is also known) uses the plant’s therapeutic properties to treat chronic conditions, by interacting with the body's natural endocannabinoid system (ECS). Each plant comprises over 100 different cannabinoids, with the most common and researched compounds being cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Increasing research and clinical evidence suggests that cannabinoids could help to relief a variety of symptoms effectively and safely, but it is important to differentiate between street cannabis, hemp, CBD and medical cannabis as their composition and therefore therapeutics effects vary significantly. As the research is new and evolving, we’re here to point you in the right direction to learn more.
